Aleksandra Kovac is a singer, songwriter, arranger, and producer.
She begins to play the piano and and perform her music at the age of 15. At that time, she and her younger sister Kristina decide to form a band K2 and sign their first contract with a management company from London Mismanagement (clients include Supertramp, Chris De Burgh, and Rod Stewart). After that they go to London to support Labi Sifre on tour.

They perform in many famous clubs in London, such as Mean Fiddler, The Orange, and Tea Rooms des Artistes. In 1993, Errol Brown, the former singer of Hot Chocolate books Aleksandra and Kristina as an opening act and as backing vocals on his tour after hearing them perform in Mean Fiddler. After the tour, Aleksandra begins a collaboration with New Underground, a team of young producers from Manchester, which results in several songs that are a mix of pop and r'n'b. With this, K2 get positive reactions from major record labels such as Sony 2, Polydor, and Warner Bros. |

In the next five years, Aleksandra and Kristina work with many important names from the music industry, including such celebs as Derek Bramble (composer and producer, USA, worked with Whitney Houston, Nona Gaye), and the somposing duo Rod Argent - Peter Van Hook (Great Britain, composed and produced for Genesis, Tanita Tikaram).
In 1995, after their contract with the Mismanagement expires, the girls return to their hometown Belgrade and, filled with positive energy and creativity, write, arrange, produce, and perform their first album which sells in 70,000 copies and becomes No. 1 on all charts. They successfully promote the album in the country and in 1996 they release their second album Malo Soula (A Little Bit of Soul). At the time, these two albums, as well as videos for the singles, represent something new, original, and fresh in Yugoslavia. Aleksandra is considered to be the 'first true soul and funk diva' in the region. A year later, Aleksandra and Kristina, go to Madrid, Spain, and sign a contract with EMI to release an album for the Spanish market. After successful promotion of the album and a tour, in 1998 the group returns to Belgrade and stops working.
Aleksandra decides to continue her career, not only as a performer and composer, but as an arranger and producer as well. She meets a talented and perspective young producer and musician Roman Gorsek (member of Plejboj) and with him forms the production team RAProduction that has been successfully creating music for the past 9 years.
Aleksandra is asked to work with many performers from Croatia and Bosnia, including Nina Badric, Ivana Kindl, Jacques Houdek, Deen, Severina, Goran Karan, Boris Novkovic, Vesna Pisarovic, Sandi Cenov, etc. Aleksandra i Roman also produce the songs and albums for the majority of these performers.
In 2001 they begin work on the EP You and Me, which they single-handedly produce and publish. The EP contain four of Aleksandra's soulful, r'n'b compositions that convey her experiences in love and life through a mixture of funk, soul, and two-step. The same year, Aleksandra and Roman are invited by some of the top world managers (W Management, Phillip Kovac) to come and present their music and work. They go to Los Angeles and begin a collaboration with John Mason, the leading entertainment lawyer in the US.
Aleksandra has signed publishing contracts with companies such as Air Chrysalis Scandinavia, EMI Spain, Croatia Records, and Menart, and she's also a member of HDS and HUZIP in Croatia and STIM in Sweden. She composes music for many theatre plays, and in 2005 she and Roman get the award for the best music score on the prestigious theatre festival Joakim Vujic as authors of the music for the play Bura (Tempest) by Jugo Radivojevic. She and Roman have composed the score for the TV series Lisice (Foxes), as well as numerous commercials (Telekom, Grete, Banini), and TV shows.
Aleksandra also writes music for children's theatre (Captain John Peoplefox - MP Dusko Radovic, The Naked King - Bosko Buha Theatre, The Dragon and the King's Son - Pinokio Puppet Theatre, Two Kingdoms, Bajka, Nis). She has just released her first solo album, Med i mleko (Honey and Milk).
